Adrian's AutoTube bridges your phone and your car display. You browse and search on a surface that was made for it; the car shows the video on a surface that wasn't — until now.

What it is

An Android Auto media app. It opens YouTube, Disney+, Twitch, IPTV streams and local video files on the car's display, and hands you a comfortable phone UI to pick what to watch and to control playback.

How it works

Plug in your phone. Launch Adrian's AutoTube from Android Auto. Pick a service on your phone. The stream starts on the car screen. Pause, skip, and type — all from the phone in your hand.

Why we built it

Android Auto wasn't designed for video. Third-party tools either block half the useful apps or charge monthly. We wanted something that just works, respects your privacy, and is paid for once.

Requirements

A vehicle or head-unit that supports Android Auto.
An Android phone on Android 8.0 (Oreo) or newer.
A mobile data or Wi-Fi connection for streaming services (local files don't need internet).
A USB cable or wireless Android Auto pairing with your car.

Safety first — please read before you drive

Adrian's AutoTube is a passenger-first app. Watching video on the dashboard while driving is dangerous, distracting, and illegal in most countries. The app is not a license to do it.

What this means in practice

Only watch while the vehicle is parked, or when you are the passenger — never the driver.
Do not glance at the car display while moving. At 50 mph, a 2-second look covers 45 meters of road blind.
Pick your video, playlist, or channel before you start driving — not at traffic lights, not while moving.
If a passenger is operating the phone, keep your eyes on the road. Their screen is not your concern.
Keep the volume moderate. You need to hear sirens, horns, and your surroundings.
Check your local traffic laws. Many jurisdictions prohibit any video on the driver's display while the vehicle is in motion, even when a passenger is watching.
